Inergy breaks ground on Mich. fuel tank plant
HURON TOWNSHIP, MICH. (July 26, 5 p.m. ET) – Fuel tank blow molder Inergy Automotive Systems recently broke ground on a new plant in Huron Township, which will replace an existing plant in Milan, Mich.

The new plant will employ 240, according to a news release from the township.
Inergy bought the Milan plant from Ford Motor Co. on June 1, but said at the time that it would be replaced over the next three years by a new plant in Michigan.
Inergy, a unit of France's Cie. Plastic Omnium, said it picked the location in part because of assistance from the Local Development Finance Authority.
The company plans to open the new plant in spring 2012. Inergy also has plants in Adrian, Mich.; Anderson, S.C., and Ramos, Mexico.
